One of the major responsibilities of a church treasurer is the payment of stipends and salaries, settlement of tax, NI and pensions and the annual returns to HMRC.
This can be done by HEBA for a modest cost, making the treasurer’s role easier and less onerous for anyone new to the role.
HEBA will calculate the net salary to be paid, supply payslips and provide a note of the amounts to be paid to HMRC but it will be the church’s responsibility to make the actual payments.
