David Thompson, Treasurer of Tamworth Baptist Church, has taken up the new post of HEBA Grants & Finance Assistant.

David brings considerable financial and management experience to the role. He worked for Lloyds TSB for 38 years but took voluntary early retirement at the end of October 2008

His new work will cover all aspects of Association finance as well as the administration of Home Mission grants. Having been a member of churches supported by Home Mission and also a Home Mission Visitor, David is keen to use his experience for the benefit of others.

“I’m really looking forward to serving the Lord as part of the HEBA Team in our new Association Office at IMC!” he says.

Married to Irene, an English teacher, they have three children. David enjoys walking and is keenly researching his family history.
