Learning at the Centre

Learning @ the Centre provides theological education through a three year programme of modules covering a wide range of topics. Individuals or groups from churches can engage in any number of modules for their own development as Christian Disciples.

Learning @ the Centre – in the local church: Each module consists of 8 sessions – single sessions or a combination from any of the 12 modules can be delivered flexibly at your church – on evenings or Saturdays. Contact the HEBA Office if you’d like to explore this option for your church.

Learning @ the Centre – at the International Mission Centre: Open to all who would like to learn more about a particular area of church life or mission.

Those seeking Baptist Union recognition as pastors or preachers need to secure the commendation of their church meeting; so a conversation with the church leadership early on is a must. It will then be necessary to register with one of the partner Colleges (Bristol, Regents Park or Northern Baptist Learning Community), attend a number of required modules and complete the relevant assignments.

Each module involves attendance on two Saturdays from 10.00am to 4.00pm. and is delivered on a three-year rolling programme.
