Who are Baptists? Where do they come from, and why?
In the early 16th century the Reformation started. At a similar time, the ‘Radical Reformation’ came into being because it was felt that the Reformation hadn’t been radical enough. One of the earliest groups coming out of that were called ‘Anabaptists’ (means ‘re-baptiser’) because of the focus on believers’ baptism rather than baptising children.
