Volunteering

We are looking for volunteers to  work with HEBA in supporting our churches, using the gifts god has given them to advise, discern and encourage individual fellowships and groups through membership of one of our working groups.  Volunteers are essential to the life and work of the Association, giving their expertise and wisdom in support of the churches that make up the Association.

This booklet gives information on areas where we need new volunteers. We are a diverse Association and we are seeking to improve the diversity of representation in our Groups. So, whilst all interest is much appreciated, we would like to encourage black and brown people and people with disabilities to bring their particular experience to the work that we are doing.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS to join our team of trustees as we seek to discern God’s vision for our Association, encourage the Staff Team, and use our resources wisely and creatively for God’s kingdom.

WE ARE SEEKING PRAYERFUL, MISSION-MINDED WOMEN AND MEN who can think broadly and strategically; have an eye for detail and a concern for good governance; are experienced in leadership (not necessarily church leadership); and have both time and energy to give to the task.

Trustees should also be members of good standing in a local Baptist Church. Because HEBA churches represent the very diverse communities found throughout the region, we would like our trustees to reflect that diversity, particularly but not solely in terms of ethnicity and gender.
