No Planet B
The Christian Churches around Birmingham are facing the challenges of Climate Change, together.
On Saturday June 29th 72 people gathered at the Quaker rooms in Bull Street under the theme of “No Planet B”. They included Baptists, Methodists, URC, Quakers, Catholics, Anglicans, Unitarians and Franciscan brothers; much of the organising and training was provided by Christian Aid and CAFOD working together.

When builders were carrying out renovations to Fernhill Heath Baptist Church they found a time capsule which had been placed to mark the laying of the Foundation Stone of the church on 3rd September 1903!

Five local Baptist Churches straddling the river Cole in East Birmingham held their fourth Funday for their local communities providing about 1,000 hamburgers as well as craft activities, games and free Bouncy Castle Slides. A Mission Project Grant was provided from Home Mission funds.
