The aim of the Disability Justice Task Group is to raise the profile of disability justice issues and inclusion within our churches and to provide resources to enable disabled people to be more fully involved in our life together.
Aim of The Disability Justice Task Group
To promote awareness around issues of disability justice in order to enable full participation and equality for disabled people in our churches.
We seek to do this through working with Baptist churches in HEBA. As we embark on the HEBA Year of Disability Justice, we invite members of our churches to learn more about how to be welcoming churches through our Storytelling Events.
Disability Awareness Sunday...
...falls on Sunday 28th September this year - or your church can of course choose another Sunday. Resources are available via Through the Roof on the theme of 'Made in God's Image', reminding us that we all, disabled or not, reflect the image of God.
